Meet every Saturday morning at 9:30am for a fairly gentle walk around Thurstaston Common,

for around an hour.

 3

Meet new people, build community and have real conversations.

Many people experience poor mental health alongside isolation, limited support, and a lack of opportunities to talk openly about their experiences. Strong social connection, peer support, and safe spaces for honest conversation are known to play an important role in supporting mental wellbeing, particularly for men, who are often less likely to seek traditional forms of help.

Our "Big Boys Do Talk" walk and talk group provides a relaxed, non-judgemental space for open, honest, conversations about life, mental health, and personal challenges. Whether you are struggling or reflecting on what has helped you move forward, it offers connection, shared experience, and support.

By bringing people together through walking, conversation, and time outdoors, we aim to improve mental wellbeing, reduce isolation, and build a stronger sense of community while benefiting from the positive impact of fresh air and nature.
